BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT APPREHENDED

On 1-19-10 at 12:15 P.M., Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a bank robbery at the Key Bank at the corner of Massillon and Boettler Roads.  A note demanding money and threatening employees was recovered at the bank. 

 While checking the area, a sheriff’s deputy and sergeant spotted the male suspect near the Giant Eagle store on Corporate Woods Parkway.  Following a foot chase the suspect was apprehended and some money was recovered.  The deputy was injured as a result. 

 Deputies arrested Joseph Reeves, age 24, of Louisville, in Stark County.  Mr. Reeves led detectives to the rest of the money and his getaway car which contained his disguise.  He was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Resisting Arrest and was booked into the Summit County Jail.
