FEMALE THREATENS SUICIDE AT CEMETERY On Friday at 11:30 P.M. a Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Holy Cross Cemetery on Waterloo Road for a female threatening suicide by knife while on the telephone with a dispatcher. When the deputy arrived, the female was in her vehicle holding a knife to her throat and she continued to make threats against her own life. Sheriff’s negotiators were called to the scene and after 2 1/2 hours, they talked the female into putting the knife down. The 48-year-old female was transported to Akron General Hospital for evaluation. Neither the female victim nor Sheriff’s Deputies incurred any injuries.
