Akron Man Guilty of Stealing Purse and Lunchbox

(February 3, 2012… Akron) … Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that late yesterday Judge Tom Parker found Terrell Nurse, 20, of Moon Drive in Akron, guilty of two counts of Aggravated Robbery, first-degree felonies with firearm specifications, and one count of Aggravated Burglary, a first-degree felony with a firearm specification.

On September 26, Nurse and three other men contacted an acquaintance and went to that person’s house under false pretenses. Upon entering the home, one of Nurse’s accomplices first pointed a gun at the male resident of the house and then the female, demanding money. All four men ransacked the house, finally leaving with the female’s purse and money, as well as the lunchbox of the woman’s six-year-old son, who was also in the house at the time. Nurse was arrested after one of the victims identified him to police.

Judge Parker immediately revoked Nurse’s bond after reaching the guilty verdict. Sentencing is set for February 28 at 1:00 p.m. Nurse faces at least six years in prison.
