Man Guilty of Murder
(February 8, 2012… Akron) … Summit County Prosecutor
Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today
that late yesterday,
after less than an hour of deliberations, a jury found Terrence Minor, 28, of
Carroll Street in Akron, guilty of Aggravated Murder with a gun specification,
Murder with a gun specification and Having Weapons Under Disability, a
third-degree felony.
On September 18,
Minor drove to Day Street in Akron
with the intent of fighting his girlfriend’s brother. When Minor got to Day
Street, he fired a gun over the roof of his car toward another brother of his
girlfriend, Demetrion Wilson, striking him in the chest and killing him. Then
Minor and two unknown male accomplices drove away. Minor was found by police
hiding under a bed in Cleveland.
Judge Tom Teodosio
will sentence Minor on March 7 at 9:00 a.m.
