Yasin Receives Life in Prison for Child Rape

(October 26, 2011… Akron) … Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that Khalil Yasin, 47, of Barberton, pleaded guilty yesterday to Rape, a first-degree felony.

Yasin repeatedly molested a female friend’s young daughter. The molestation was discovered when the victim told her friend’s mother, who immediately notified school authorities.  The school then contacted Children Services Board.

Judge Thomas Teodosio sentenced Yasin to life in prison. He must also register as a Tier 3 sex offender. Yasin will be eligible to apply for parole in 10 years.
