Castagnola Sentenced to 2 1/2 Years in Prison

(October 18, 2011… Akron) … Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that Judge Tom Parker sentenced Nicholas Castagnola, 25, of Twinsburg, to 2 1/2 years in prison.

Castagnola was arrested in July by Twinsburg police for retaliating against the Twinsburg Law Director for prosecuting Castagnola for selling alcohol to a minor. The police received information that Castagnola used his home computer to search for the law director's home address. A search warrant was obtained, and the computer was searched by a forensic computer analyst at the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Identification (BCI). BCI found hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.

In September Judge Tom Parker found Nicholas Castagnola, 25, of Twinsburg guilty on 10 counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, a fourth-degree felony. A jury found Castagnola guilty in May of two counts of Retaliation, Vandalism, Criminal Damaging, Criminal Trespass and Possession of Criminal Tools. Judge Parker's sentencing today was on both cases.
