Ohio
Child Support Director’s Association (OCDA)
recognized Summit County CSEA at the 2009 Fall
conference with a Best Practice Award for
its' development of child support workshops at
churches throughout the community.
The
workshops were developed to provide a one-stop
opportunity in a relaxed environment, which
allowed individuals to work out their child
support payments, get their driver’s license
back (if it had been suspended for child
support purposes), and to learn about
modifying their child support payments as well
as general child support information. The
churches that were targeted were in heavily
populated areas within the heart of town in
order to reach the largest number of citizens.
Further, the CSEA wanted to develop a
relationship with faith-based organizations in
an effort to facilitate understanding and
knowledge of its programs.
