JUDGE TEODOSIO MAKES RULING IN ROWLES CASE

Summit County Juvenile Court Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio rendered her ruling in the Rowles child abuse case before the court. In her Judgment Entry, Judge Teodosio noted that the six children removed from their Kenmore home in February would remain in temporary custody of the Children Services Board. Testimony at a disposition hearing July 18th revealed the children are thriving in foster care and they have been able to visit each other on occasion.

Two of the three fathers of the children were granted visitation rights while the other waived his right to visitation and has asked the court to consider having his child live with relatives.

Judge Teodosio made the following rulings in her Judgment Entry:

  • Joint counseling with the two fathers and their children must precede any visitation. Once the counseling is completed, supervised visitation will occur.

  • No relative shall have visitation unless specifically ordered by the Court.

  • No child shall be required to attend visitation session should they decline.

  • Based on the recommendation of a counselor, Mary Rowles’ request for a discovery video deposition of her children has been granted. The depositions will be closed to the media.

  • Child support will be determined by the Child Support Enforcement Agency.

A Review Hearing before Judge Teodosio is set for September 17th at 9 a.m.
