Juvenile Court Plans Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Event

Summit County Juvenile Court Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio has announced that the Court has planned an event at Chapel Hill Mall to observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Court will have a banner that visitors to Chapel Hill can sign from 11am until 4pm Sunday, January 15th and Monday, January 16th. The banner contains a “Pledge of Non-Violence.” Visitors can also sign a paper with the same pledge. The Court has also sent the pledges to high schools and middle schools throughout Summit County. The signed banner and pledges will then be sent to the children’s division of the Dr. Martin Luther King Library in Washington, D.C.

“The Court was looking for a way to spread awareness of Dr. King’s message and mission of non-violence,” said Judge Teodosio. “The banner and the pledges are tangible recognition of that.”
