Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry's Division of Animal Control to Promote Adoptions at Pet Expo

On Saturday, June 6, 2009, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry's Division of Animal Control will be participating in the 8th annual Akron Pet Expo at Hardesty Park, located at 1615 West Market Street in Akron.

The Division of Animal Control will be one of 40 local animal organizations participating in the adoption centered event. The cost to adopt a dog fully treated by the County of Summit will be $90; while, the cost to adopt a cat fully treated will be $60.

Full treatment includes: license (if necessary), shots, spay-and-neuter operations and de-flea & de-worm services. Upon completion of the adoption process, all spay-and-neuter operations will be performed.
