Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry to Observe National County Government Week, Information Fair

On Thursday, May 7, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry will be observing National County Government Week (May 3 – 9) by sponsoring a Government at Your Service information fair. The event will be held in the 4th floor atrium of the Ohio Building, located at 175 South Main Street in downtown Akron.

County government offices scheduled to participate include: the Summit County Board of Elections, the Summit County Clerk of Courts Office, Summit County Council, the Summit County Executive Office, the Summit County Fiscal Office, the Summit County Health District, the Summit County Office of Consumer Affairs, the Summit County Prosecutor Office, the Summit County Sheriff's Office and the Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority.

This program is designed to inform the general public of the broad services the County of Summit offers to citizens, such as: child care, child support enforcement, housing assistance, prescription medication discounts, public assistance, real estate taxes, recycling, voter registration and much more.
