Animal Adopt-A-Thon Cancelled, Event Rescheduled

The Summit County Division of Animal Control sponsored Adopt-A-Thon scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Acme Fresh Market, located at 3235 Manchester Road in Akron, has been CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.

The event has been RESCHEDULED for Saturday, August 15th; at which time, representatives from the Division of Animal Control and numerous animal rescue groups throughout the community will be on-site and offering affordable, comprehensive and unique adoption opportunities to citizens.

The cost to adopt a dog fully treated by the Division of Animal Control is $90; while, the cost to adopt a cat fully treated is $60. Full treatment includes: a license (if necessary), shots, spay-and-neuter operations and de-flea & de-worm services.
