Summit County Councilman Tim Crawford, Executive Russell M. Pry to Sponsor Animal Adopt-A-Thon

On Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Summit County Councilman Tim Crawford (District 7), in collaboration with Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry's Division of Animal Control, will be sponsoring an Animal Adopt-A-Thon at the Acme Fresh Market, parking lot, located at 3235 Manchester Road in Akron.

The cost to adopt a dog fully treated by Executive Pry's Division of Animal Control will be $90; while, the cost to adopt a cat fully treated will be $60. Full treatment includes: license (if necessary), shots, spay-and-neuter operations and de-flea & de-worm services.

Animal rescue groups interested in participating in this event are being asked to contact the Summit County Division of Animal Control at 330-643-2847. Space is limited.
