Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry Implements Drop-In Day Care Center at the Job Center, Fun Stop

Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry is pleased to announce the opening of the Fun Stop. The Fun Stop is a new, state-of-the-art, drop-in day care center strategically positioned inside The Job Center, a facility that is dedicated to maximizing employment and economic opportunity in Summit County by being the resource for every employer and job seeker in the region.

The new day care center, located at 1040 East Tallmadge Avenue in Akron, is being funded by the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services and being managed by Nordonia Hills Daycare and Preschool LLC.

“By implementing this new service, Summit County citizens now have the opportunity to visit The Job Center and focus on their employment opportunities while their children receive care free of charge,” said Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry. “This new government service addresses a child care problem many citizens were experiencing while trying to access services at the employment resource facility.”

The Fun Stop provides services to children, ages 12-years-old and under, for a maximum time period of four hours per day. The facility is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

“The Fun Stop is a great addition to The Job Center,” added Pry. “I believe the citizens of Summit County will benefit greatly from this new government service.”
