Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry to Sponsor Community
Outreach Program in Downtown Akron
On Thursday, May 22, 2008, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Summit County
Executive Russell M. Pry will sponsor a community outreach program
titled, Government at Your Service at the Akron-Summit County Public
Library, Main Branch, located at 60 South Main Street in downtown Akron.
Government at Your Service is designed to inform the public of the wide
array of services the County of Summit offers to citizens, such as:
child care services, emergency management programs, prescription
medication discounts, housing assistance opportunities, senior
initiatives and much more.
Representatives from Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry’s Office,
Summit County Clerk of Courts Daniel M. Horrigan’s Office, Summit County
Fiscal Officer John Donofrio’s Office, Summit County Engineer Greg
Bachman’s Office, Summit County Sheriff Drew Alexander’s Office, Summit
County Council, the Summit County Office of Consumer Affairs and the
Summit County General Health District will be present to provide
citizens with information about county funded programs, services and
opportunities.
“Attending a Government at Your Service event is a great way to find out
what programs and services are available,” said Summit County Executive
Russell M. Pry. “Those in attendance will also have an opportunity to
interact with representatives, ask questions and obtain detailed
programming information.”
