Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry to Sponsor Community Outreach Program in Downtown Akron

On Thursday, May 22, 2008, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry will sponsor a community outreach program titled, Government at Your Service at the Akron-Summit County Public Library, Main Branch, located at 60 South Main Street in downtown Akron.

Government at Your Service is designed to inform the public of the wide array of services the County of Summit offers to citizens, such as: child care services, emergency management programs, prescription medication discounts, housing assistance opportunities, senior initiatives and much more.

Representatives from Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry’s Office, Summit County Clerk of Courts Daniel M. Horrigan’s Office, Summit County Fiscal Officer John Donofrio’s Office, Summit County Engineer Greg Bachman’s Office, Summit County Sheriff Drew Alexander’s Office, Summit County Council, the Summit County Office of Consumer Affairs and the Summit County General Health District will be present to provide citizens with information about county funded programs, services and opportunities.

“Attending a Government at Your Service event is a great way to find out what programs and services are available,” said Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry. “Those in attendance will also have an opportunity to interact with representatives, ask questions and obtain detailed programming information.”
