When it is all summed up, the amount of money that passes
through Summit County Government exceeds one billion
dollars. The Department of Finance and Budget must see that
it is properly allocated. Finance and Budget issues annual
budget allocations to every department, office and
division in Summit County government while assuring that
County Council receives pertinent fiscal
information.
Other divisions under Finance and Budget are:
- Office
Services: Handles outgoing and interoffice mail
services and provides black and white and color
digital photocopying as well as microfilming.
- Purchasing:
All requisitions are sent to Purchasing and inspected
for proper documentation. Also, Purchasing is
responsible for assuring that three quotes are
obtained for orders exceeding $500 and the division
reviews documents that go before the Board of Control.
