COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS (CDBG) Low income home owners and eligible community areas are assisted, by using, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds. Eligible community projects, Senior Citizen Programs and housing assistance are administered through the Summit County Department of Development. Each funding year, communities submit projects which are evaluated for HUD eligibility and benefits to low income citizens and home owners. Recent funding has been used to renovate Richfield Township Hall, provide Senior Citizen Centers in Coventry, Improve sewers in Norton, and provide emergency improvements to housing throughout the county.
