Formerly
Operations, Administrative Services oversees many of the
inter-governmental projects and day to day operations of
county government.
Other county divisions under this department are:
- Capital
Projects: Oversees new construction and provides
management of projects outlined in the county's
Capital Improvements Plan.
- Community
Services: Includes Animal
Control, which provides
shelter for stray animals, responds to citizens
complaints and presents information on pet care.
Located at 250 Opportunity Parkway in Akron.
- Facilities:
The Physical Plants division is charged with
maintaining all county-owned buildings and assisting
in the renovation of other county buildings.
