Armed Man Arrested By Deputies

 On 02/05/2012 at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 23 year old man brandished a handgun during an argument in the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant located at 246 East Exchange Street in Akron. The subject, identified as Garland Johnson was confronted by Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies working an extra detail. Johnson ran, but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

 Johnson was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Weapon Under Disability, Inducing Panic, and Obstruction of Justice. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
