CASA/GAL Training Classes Available

Spring training classes will begin in May for individuals interested in serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) volunteer in the Summit County Juvenile Court. The CASA/GAL program recruits, trains and supports volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Juvenile Court. CASA/GAL volunteers independently investigate, monitor and provide advocacy for their court-appointed children and make recommendations directly to the court.

A brief CASA/GAL program information session will be held Tuesday, April 29^th from 7pm until 8pm at the Children Services Board, 264 S. Arlington St. in Akron.
